Seiler, Ramos end season at regionals

IRVINE, CA (5/3/2019) – Mikayla Seiler and Noemi Ramos ended their season missing a state tournament run by two points on Friday at regionals.

The pair faced the No. 2 seeded duo from El Camino in round one and lost in two sets, 21-17 and 21-16. That put Seiler and Ramos in the losers bracket in a double elimination.

In round two, they faced a pair from Bakersfield and beat them in two sets, 21-18 and 21-18. This is the second consecutive year Palomar has knocked Bakersfield out of contention. The final round, Seiler and Ramos faced a pair from MiraCosta, with the winner advancing to the state tournament. Seiler and Ramos lost the fist set, but the second set. They lost the third set 16-14.

Seiler and Ramos were the only pair that qualified for regionals.
