Durham and Mayoral named PCAC November Athletes-of-the-Month

SAN MARCOS, CA (12/23/2019) -- Jacob Durham and Nikki Mayoral were selected as two of the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Athletes-of-the-Month for November for having outstanding performances during the month. Durham plays on the men's basketball team while Mayoral plays on the women's basketball team. 

Durham is a sophomore forward from Murrieta Valley High School. Durham is averaging 7.9 points per game with a 59.7 percent field goal percentage, as well as seven rebounds a game. During the Palomar Thanksgiving Tournament, Durham had 20 points and 18 rebounds, a season high for both categories and his first season double-double. Durham has five steals and two blocks on the season to go along with 84 rebounds.

 

Mayoral, a sophomore guard, is a major contributor for the Comet women's basketball team. She averages 13.3 points a game shooting 34.8 percent in the field. She recorded a season high eight assists and seven rebounds against Riverside City College. Of the 12 games the Comets have played so far, she has had nine games where she has been in double-digit scoring, three of which she scored 19 in.
