Comets glide past Roadrunners

SAN MARCOS, CA (10/25/2023) -- The Palomar College Comets desperately needed a win in October and they got one on Wednesday afternoon as they defeated conference opponent Crafton Hills 19-13.

Emily Freeman was lights out for the Comets scoring a season-high eight goals. She also had two assists and two steals on the day. Devyn Wible finished with three goals, two assists and one steal. Bella Chacon and Kennedy Magnusson each had two goals. Grace Goode finished with a team-high three steals, two goals and a block. Ayano Tsuda finished with one goal, two assists and a block. Goalie Natalie Braegger played a half for the Comets and had eight saves on 12 shots. Roxanne Hall finished the game for Palomar and recorded two saves. 

Palomar improves to 5-20 overall and 2-3 in conference play. They will have a week and a half off to prepare for the PCAC Championships Tournament at Southwestern College next weekend.
