Five Comets land All-PCAC honors

SAN MARCOS, CA (11/20/2019) – Five Comet women's water polo players received all-conference honors this season.

Julia Miller, Sydni Dickson and Harley Young all received First Team All-PCAC honors, while Ciara Webb and Sophie White received Second Team All-PCAC honors.

Miller played goalie for the Comets. She played in all 27 games for Palomar. She had 312 saves on the season and 215 goals against her. She led all conference goalies with number of saves, as well as for her save percentage, 59.2. She had 19 wins on the season, the most of the conference.

Dickson led the conference in goals at 114 on the season and she also led in assists with 52. She had 24 goals in conference games and recorded 13 assists. Her shooting percentage was 102.7 on the season. Dickson was also the PCAC Athlete-of-the-Month for September.

Young, a utility player, scored 65 goals for the Comets this season, 27 of them in conference play. She also had 16 assists during conference matches. Young recorded 45 steals on the season, six in conference play. She finished in third place in the conference for steals.

White was one of two sophomores on the team this season. She had 25 goals on 32 shots this season for a shooting percentage of 78.1. She also recorded 40 steals on the season and 12 in conference play. Webb, a sophomore from Ramona, scored 31 goals this season on 56 shots. She finished the season in second place for assists at 48, behind Dickson. Webb had 15 steals on the season.
