Comets come up short in regionals; finish with one of best records in program history

RIVERSIDE, CA (11/14/2019) – Women's water polo competed in the first round of the CCCAA SoCal Regional and lost 17-9 to Citrus College.

Harley Young scored the first goal for the Comets on an assist from Sydni Dickson to trail 4-1. Ciara Webb found the net at the last second in the first to make the score 6-2. The Comets scored three goals in the third with scores made by Young and Dickson to trail 10-5 at the half. In the third, Young scored on an assist from Webb and again, this time unassisted. Sophie White scored once in the quarter. The Comets were only able to score once in the fourth when Dickson got the ball in the net.

The Comets finished their season with an impressive 19-9 record, their best of the last seven years, and 6-1 in conference and were crowned PCAC Champions after beating Grossmont for the win. Congrats Comets on a season well done!
