Women show dominance over Crafton Hills

SAN MARCOS, CA (10/23/2019) – Women's water polo took on Crafton Hills and won 15-1 in a nonconference matchup.

Harley Young, Sydni Dickson and Ciara Webb all have four goals and Karla Cardona had two and Sophie White rounded out the scoring with a goal herself. Webb posted three assists and Haley Balch had four. White stole the ball four times, while Cardona had two steals and Young and Dickson each had one. Julia Miller had 15 saves on 16 shots. She also recorded an assist.

Dickson leads the conference with 71 goals on the season. Webb, Dickson and Young are in the top for assists with 27, 26 and 23, respectively. Miller leads the conference with 206 saves on the season and is in second place for save percentage, 54.4. Miller also leads the conference with 10 wins. Young is currently in second place for steals totaling 34 and White is in fourth with 31.

The team is currently in second place in conference after their loss to undefeated Grossmont College last week. The Comets are 10-8 overall and 3-1 in conference play. They will face PCAC opponent, Miramar College, Wednesday Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at home.
