Comets record first 2-0 start since 2015

SAN MARCOS, CA (9/1/2021) -- Palomar is off to their first 2-0 start to the season since 2015 after defeating San Bernardino Valley College 3-0 on Wednesday night.

In a back-and-forth rally filled match, the Comets proved they have the determination and perseverance to finish a match. 

Casey Widdoss led the Comets with 12 kills on 25 total attacks on the night while Milana Kansky and Masha Molnar recorded seven. Setters Alana Lacangan and Kenna Broach had 16 and 11 assists, respectively. Courtney Hoffman had nine digs and libero Amaya Rae Garcia finished the night with eight. Sophia Bolivar recorded four service aces for the Comets.

The Comets are now 2-0 and will hit the road for the first of two road matches. They will face College of the Desert at 5 p.m. Fans are not allowed at College of the Desert. Please check their website for livestreaming services.
