Lecakes-Jones and Emerson pick up All-PCAC honors

SAN MARCOS, CA (12/13/2019) – Alina Lecakes-Jones and Carsyn Emerson both received All-PCAC Honorable Mention honors.

Lecakes-Jones, a sophomore from Rancho Bernardo High School, averaged 2.26 kills a set and 1.50 digs a set. She had a career-high 22 kills against Imperial Valley College on Nov. 13, breaking the 19 career-high kills she had against Cuyamaca College on Oct. 16. She had a season-high 16 digs against San Diego City College on oct. 9 and had 10 in both matches against City (Nov. 8) and Imperial Valley (Nov. 13). Lecakes-Jones was also the October PCAC Athlete-of-the-Month.

Emerson, a freshman from Hemet, was a setter and opposite hitter for the Comets. She averaged 3.53 assists a set and 0.96 kills a set. She had a career-high 26 assists against San Bernardino Valley College on Sept. 3. She recorded 22 against Southwestern College in the first round of PCAC play. Emerson also recorded a career-high nine kills in that match.
