Coach Matt Duffy begins his first season as Palomar’s head assistant coach in 2022. He brings a wealth of coaching experience and exceptional technical knowledge to the program.

Coach Duffy has served under Ross O’Briant as an assistant coach at Carlsbad High School since 2009, in which time he has coached 3 CIF State medalists, 7 San Diego masters champions, and 20 state qualifiers. He is still on staff as an assistant at Carlsbad.

As a competitive wrestler, Coach Duffy was a 4 x USAW Freestyle State Champion, 2 x USAW Greco Roman State Champion, and a 3 x Jr FILA national finalist.
