2019 Comet Softball Alumni Report

 

Alicia Garcia – San Diego State University (Jr. – P/DP/3B) DI  Garcia earned recognition on the All-Mountain West Team after going 6-1 in the circle with a 2.27 ERA & 23 K's in 54 innings during Mountain West Conference play. Alicia spent time on the mound, at third base and as the designated hitter in 44 games as an Aztec in the 2019 season.
Brie Dunckel – Oklahoma Christian University (Jr. – 2B/SS) DII Oklahoma Christian finished 40-16 and won the Heartland Conference. Former Comet, Brie Dunckel, spent time at both middle infield positions and lead the Eagle's overall offense hitting a team-high .373 batting avg. in the 2019 season. Dunckel was selected 1st Team All-Heartland and finished her junior season with 22 SB's and lead her team in OB% (.464) and SAC bunts (9). 
Bailey Romano – San Diego Christian (Sr. – C) NAIA Bailey was selected to the All-GSAC Team after leading her team in offense. Romano started in all 45 games behind the plate and finished her senior campaign with a team-high .355 batting avg., 3 HR's and drove in 35 RBI's for the Hawks in 2019.
