Solid hitting leads to run-rule win over San Bernardino

SAN BERNADINO, CA (3/26/2019) -- Palomar defeated San Bernardino Valley College 12-1 in five innings.

Sarah Fisher went 1-3 and had four RBIs after a triple in the first inning and a groundout in the third. Rylee Penrod was 3-4 and had one RBI in the fifth inning. Mary Nejo homered in the third inning and brought Megan Wachholtz home. Wachholtz was 2-4 and had two RBIs.

Audrey Braun pitched all five innings and had seven strikeouts, three hits and one earned run.

Palomar improved to 20-5 and 8-1 in conference play.

The Comets will be back on the field tomorrow against San Diego Mesa. Game time is 3 p.m. at Mesa.
