Comets pick up two wins over Roadrunners

SAN MARCOS, CA (10/20/2021) -- Starting the fourth quarter with no subs available to the Comets, and less than a minute later losing another player, the Comets pulled out their highest scoring match of the season defeating Crafton Hills 22-11 in the first game. Freshmen Craig Anderson and Kieran Reilly both had six goals in the first game, while Tino Mirizzi scored five. Goalkeeper David Oceguera had 16 saves on 27 shots. 

The Comets continued their dominance in the second game and won 18-11. Mirizzi had another five goals, while Anderson had four. The team's defense proved effective as they recorded 10 steals in game one eight in game two. They also drew 14 exclusions. 

Picking up two wins in conference play, the men will compete in the Orange Coast College tournament this weekend. They will face PCAC opponent Grossmont College as a conference match, as well as Orange Coast and Ventura College.
