Men finish season as PCAC runners-up

CHULA VISTA, CA (11/9/2019) – Men's water polo placed second in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference this weekend after falling 11-8 to San Diego Mesa College on day two of the tournament.

On day one, they faced Grossmont College and won 16-15. Truman Irion had six goals and Matt Kraszulyak had four. Bryce Sammons had three and Scott Richards had two. Matt Corradetti and Zac Lemly each had one. Irion and Reilly Gillum had two steals on the day. Goalie Dalton DeSpain had 16 saves on 31 shots.

The Comets faced the Mesa Olympians on day two of the tournament. Irion and Sammons both recorded three foals, while Zane Bentley and Kevin McCollum had one goal each. DeSpain had nine saves on 20 shots.

Palomar finishes the season 13-12 overall and 5-2 in conference as the runners-up.
