Men's water polo goes 1-3 at Golden West tourney

 

The men's team was at the Golden West College tournament. In their first game, they faced Cerritos and lost 12-6. Matt Kraszulyak scored two goals in the third with assists from Scott Richards and Nate Taylor. Truman Irion scored in the fourth, as did Luke Eder, Kraszulyak and Nate Taylor. Goalie Dalton DeSpain had 12 saves on 24 shots.

In their second game, they beat Rio Hondo 16-12. Kraszulyak had two goals and three assists. Kevin McCollum had seven goals on five shots. Nate Taylor had four goals on five shots and one assist. Goalie DeSpain had seven saves on 19 shots.

Palomar then faced Saddleback and lost 13-10. Zane Bentley had two goals, Kraszulyak had three, McCollum had two and Irion, Richards and Taylor all had one goal. DeSpain had 13 saves on 26 shots.

In their final game, Palomar faced American River and lost 8-7. Kraszulyak had four goals, Taylor had two and McCollum had one shot. DeSpain had 10 saves on 18 shots.

The men will be at the Mt. San Antonio College tournament this weekend.
