Palpallatoc named to first team, Garcia second team

SAN DIEGO, CA (4/15/2024) -- Asher Palpallatoc was named First Team All-PCAC, while Pedro Garcia was named to the Second Team. Ty Bargfrede, Ethan Davis and Aiden Scripps each had an honorable mention.

Palpallatoc was a dominant force for the Comets this season. A sophomore outside hitter from Murrieta Valley High School, Palpallatoc led the team with 215 kills and finished second in the conference. He had a season-high 22 kills against San Diego Miramar College in the first round of play and finished with 21 against the Jets in a five-set loss. He also recorded 14 digs, a season-high, in that match. Palpallatoc finished each conference match with double-digit kills. 

Garcia, a freshman outside hitter from Mission Hills High School, who like Palpallatoc, was an all-around player. He had a season-high 10 kills against San Diego Miramar College in the second round of the conference schedule and finished with nine digs in that match.
