Comets split dual with Grossmont
The women's swim team defeated Grossmont College 133-130, while the men lost 184-90 to Grossmont.
In the men's 200-yard medley relay, Palomar took first with a final time of 1:48.57. The women won their 200-yard freestyle relay by nine seconds with a time of 1:50.92.
Comet Jarad Altman won the men's 1000-yard freestyle with a final time of 10:32.66. He also won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:05.14.
George Peterson beat two Grossmont swimmers in the 200-yard fly with a final time of 2:02.20. Peterson posted a time of 2:06.25 in the individual medley and took home first place.
In the women's 1000-yard freestyle, Comet Maddy Johnson took first place with a final time of 11:22.91. Johnson also competed in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle and finished with a time of 26.10 and 57.71, respectively.
Lindsey Courduff won the women's 200-yard freestyle with a final time of 2:08.65. She also competed in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:48.60.
Lea Narte took first in the women's 100-yard backstroke, as well as first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:27.20.
The men and women will be back in the pool Friday, March 29 at home. Meet starts at 12:30.
