Comets break into playoffs

SAN MARCOS, CA (11/15/2022) -- It's been a long time since Palomar men's soccer has been named as a playoff team. In fact, its been 12 years since the name Palomar has graced the playoff bracket. The time has come again Comet Crazies. This season, the Comets have posted their best record in decades, an impressive 11-6-3 with wins over top Orange Empire Conference teams. 

A team filled with talent and life and led by the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year in freshman Diego Picano, the No. 23 Comets will hit the road to face No 10 College of the Desert in the Coachella Valley on Wednesday night. Tickets for the match can be purchased online in advance. No cash will be accepted. The match will be played at Rancho Las Flores Park (48440 Van Buren St, Coachella, CA 92236).

Palomar is 7-3-1 on the road this season. The Comets and Roadrunners will meet on the pitch for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
