Comets shuout Seahawks on the road

LOS ANGELES, CA (9/20/2022) -- Palomar traveled to L.A. Harbor College for a match played under the lights and won 4-0 in their first shutout of the season.

The Comets used their aggressive offense to get a quick first goal scored by Brian Ojeda in the 4th minute. They kept the attack up and Alex Vidican scored in the 8th minute off an assist from Diego Picano and Cesar Velasquez to take a 2-0 lead. Palomar then had a corner kick opportunity and Kael Kortz found the net on the assist from Marius Anquetil. The Comets didn't ease off the pressure as they searched for their second win of the season. Vidican found the net again on an assist from Henry Galindo in the 20th minute to take a 4-0 lead.

It was all defense from there as the Palomar and L.A. Harbor played scoreless soccer for the remainder of the match. Goalkeeper Max Subra recorded his first career shutout en route to the Comet's win.

Palomar moves to 2-2-3 on the season and will face Orange Coast College at home on Friday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Minkoff Field.
