Montes collects Athlete of the Month honor

Golfer Jacob Montes picked up an Athlete of the Month honor from the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference for the month of March. He has had a scoring average of 73.7.

Through six (did not play at St. Mark) rounds of conference play, he has been the low medalist twice, scoring a 73 at Tukwet Canyon and a 72 at Torrey Pines. Even though he was not the medalist at Soboba Springs, he was 1-under par shooting a 71.

He leads the conference with a score of 442. With his help, the Comets are in first place in conference leading 25-3.

Montes is a sophomore hailing from Torrey Pines High School.
