Comets stun No. 7 Knights at home

SAN MARCOS, CA (1/18/2023) -- Playing with a chip on their shoulders after losing some close games this season, Palomar College finally bought in to the new coaching staff and pulled off a 94-84 upset of No. 7 San Diego City College in front of a packed Dome.

Never trailing, the Comets led by as many as 25 points at one time and kept pushing through when the Knights started to close the gap. Palomar pushed the pace and played at a quick tempo the entire game as they slowly wore down San Diego City. The Comets had four players in double-digits, led by freshman Adam Sevier who finished with 27 points after going 10-15 in the field and 5-7 at the 3-point line. Freshman Kryztian Walton finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double. Sophomore Andrew Milot and Chad Robinson rounded out the scorers with 17 and 10 points, respectively. Milot finished the night with six assists.

Palomar advances to 13-6 on the season and 5-2 in conference play. They will head to Imperial Valley College on Friday night for the conclusion of the first round of conference play.
