Comets drop close one to Jets

MIRAMAR, CA (11/4/2022) -- Following a dominant win over LA Valley College, Palomar College dropped a close one to conference rival San Diego Miramar College, 66-63, on Saturday night at the Don Gehler Memorial Tournament.

With the energy high in the gym, the game had a championship-level feel to it. The Miramar Jets overloaded the Comets who struggled to get anything going on offense. Once the Comets got going, they went on a roll. Sophomore Andrew Milot finished the night with 16 points, leading the team, and was a perfect 4-4 at the free throw line. Freshman Adam Sevier pitched in 10 points and one assist.

Centers Kryztian Walton and Nathaniel Washington both finished the night with eight rebounds. Sophomores Clyde Harris and Chad Robinson each recorded two blocks.

Palomar moves to 1-1 and will face Southwestern College in the third-place game at 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
