Wilson, Brandon and Brewer receive All-PCAC honors

SAN MARCOS, CA (2/24/2020) – Finishing in third place this season in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play, three Comets found themselves on the All-PCAC Teams.

Zadok Wilson was the lone Comet selected for the first team. He started in 12 of the 15 conference games this season. Wilson averaged 16.9 minutes per game and scored 12.9. In addition to totaling 104 rebounds, he had 26 steals and dished out 28 assists. Wilson had a career-high 32 points against San Diego City College on Feb. 14 when he went 11-17 at the 3-point line. He also racked up five doubles against San Diego Mesa College, Imperial Valley College, Southwestern College and Grossmont College.

Michael Brandon received second-team honors. He started in 10 of the 12 games he played in for the Comets and averaged 13.3 minutes per game. Brandon had an impressive 95.2 free throw percentage shooting 20-21. He had 18 steals, 23 rebounds and 33 assists in conference play. He had a career-high 21 points against San Diego City on Jan. 15 where he drained eight 3-pointers.

Anthony Brewer, a sophomore guard, started in eight games for the Comets. In the 24.3 minutes he averaged, he dished out 27 assists, had 22 steals and grabbed 27 rebounds. Brewer had a career-high 22 points against MiraCosta College on Jan. 31 and scored 21 against Southwestern the following week.
