Comets finish non-conference with 63-48 win over El Camino

TORRANCE, CA (12/13/2019) – In their final non-conference game of the season, Palomar traveled to El Camino College and won 63-48.

For the second game in a row, Anthony Smith was leading scorer with 17 points on the night and he nabbed 17 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. He also had his fifth block of the season. Michael Brandon had 11 points and Anthony Brewer had 10. Antonio Green was 2-3 at the 3-point line and had eight rebounds to along with one assist and one steal. Green and Smith were both perfect at the free-throw line, going 2-2 and 3-3 respectively.  

The team had 10 points off of the 13 turnovers they caused and had a total of 52 rebounds. The Comets won the battle in the paint with 22 points to the Warriors' 20.

Palomar improves to 10-3 on the season and will be back in PCAC action on Wednesday, Dec. 18 to take on San Diego Miramar College on the road at 6 p.m.
