Lindeman headlines all-PCAC team

SAN DIEGO, CA (5/3/2022) -- After winning the conference title, the Comets nearly swept the All-PCAC accolades this season. Catcher Devlin Lindeman was named Player of the Year, while head coach Ben Adams was Coach of the Year.

Lindeman led the state in home runs for the bulk of the conference schedule, homering almost every other game. He total 14 four baggers and recorded 56 RBI en route to the Comet's 21-4 conference record.

Outfielders, Quincy Scott (.370, 40 RBI), Ethan Ellis (.317, 45 Hits), and Jack Sanders (.466, 6 HR, 10 SB) were named first team, along with second baseman Bryson Hashimoto and third baseman Kyle Harvey. Starting pitchers Dylan Delvecchio and Logan Parker also were named, to no surprise. Parker led the conference in wins with 10 on the season, while Delvecchio led in strikeouts all season, currently standing at 99 total heading into the playoffs. Parker had a third-best 2.87 ERA. Sanders led the conference with a .466 batting average and Harvey totaled a .404 average.  It was a Comet sweep atop the RBI category with Lindeman leading at 56, Scott with 40, and Hashimoto with 36.

Comets with an honorable mention nod were as follows: Austin Schroeder (11 saves, conference best), Christian Wood (1-0, 1 save), Derek Augenstein (.437, 16 RBI), Erik Larsen (.297, 35 Hits), and Tanner Lappin (.323, 11 doubles).

Congrats Comets!
