Baseball adds three more to 2019 transfer class

SAN MARCOS, CA (8/23/2019) – Three more baseball players have signed with four-year schools, bringing the total number of transfers to 17 for the 2019 season.

Mitchell Moralez has signed with Utah Valley State University. Hailing from Vista Murrieta High School, Moralez played in a total of 64 games for the Comets during his career. He had one home run his sophomore season and had a total of 34 RBIs in his career. In 172 total at-bats, Moralez strikeout 26 times ending his career with an average of .233.

Caleb Harmond signed with Texas Wesleyan University. Harmond played one season for the Comets where he played in eight games. He had six hits on 26 at-bats and ended his career with a batting average of .231. Harmond came from Temecula Valley High School.

Connor Zalewski received an academic scholarship from the University of Hawaii, his home state. During his time as a Comet, Zalewski pitched 24 innings and recorded 21 strikeouts. He was 1-1 and had one save with an ERA of 4.88.
