Comets swing past Knights to take the series

SAN DIEGO, CA (4/13/2019) – Palomar defeated San Diego City 13-4 on Saturday.

Everhett Hazelwood pitched six innings and had six strikeouts and gave up one hit and two runs. Jake Moskowitz pitched the last three innings and had eight strikeouts and gave up five hits and two runs.

Braden Sanford went 3-4 on the day with three RBIs and three runs. He singled in the fourth inning to bring in one runs and another single in the sixth to bring in two more runs. Noah Hemphill was 4-5 on the day with two runs and two RBIs of his own. Both of his RBIs came off singles, one the first and the other in the sixth inning.

Trevor Omahen was 2-4 with one run and two RBIs, one came off a double in the fourth and the other off a sacrifice fly in the ninth. Micah Anselmo was 2-4 with two runs.

The Comets are now 20-10-1 overall and 12-6 in conference.

Palomar will be back in action on Tuesday at Mt. San Jacinto. First pitch will be at 2 p.m.
