Baseball extends win streak after defeating Southwestern, Desert

EL CAJON, CA (3/16/2019) – Palomar defeated Southwestern 8-0 for the series win. In the fourth inning, the Comets got their bats swinging and brought in four runs.

Designated hitter Adrian Collazo went 2-3 on the day with one RBI. First baseman Evan Ianniciello went 2-5 with three RBIs.

Pitcher Everhett Hazelwood pitched seven innings and gave up three hits and had six strikeouts.

SAN MARCOS, CA (3/19/2019) – In the series opener, Palomar defeated College of the Desert 4-0.

First baseman Evan Ianniciello went 2-2 on the day with two RBIs in the bottom of the seventh.

Mitchell Hayes pitched all nine innings, had six strikeouts and gave up six hits.

The Comets improve to 12-7-1 overall and 4-3 in conference play.

They will be on the road at Desert on Thursday. First pitch is at 1 p.m.
