Hancock/Lewis moving on to Regionals

OCEANSIDE, CA (4/28/2023) -- The Palomar College beach volleyball team competed in the PCAC Individual Pairs Championship on Wednesday and advanced one pair to the quarterfinal round on Friday.

In the single elimination bracket, four of the five pairs lost in the opening round. The 1s pair, Holland Hancock and Savanna Lewis, made cruise through their opening match and played a tough third set to reach the quarterfinals. On Friday, they faced off against a pair from MiraCosta College. Hancock and Lewis made light work of the pair and advanced to semifinals to face a tough undefeated pair from Grossmont College. Hancock and Lewis eventually fell, but took home 3rd-place in the conference. They also claimed the No. 9 seed for the 3C2A SoCal Regional. The conference will send nine pairs to the Regional. They will face the 24 seeded Irvine Valley College pairs.

The SoCal Regionals will be held at El Camino College on Friday May, 5th.
