Beach volleyball and men's volleyball season wrap-up

SAN MARCOS, CA (3/20/2020) -- The women's beach volleyball team competed in four matches before the season was canceled over COVID-19 concerns. The women won just one match, a 3-2 victory over Santa Ana College on Feb. 28. The women fell to Rio Hondo College 4-1, Saddleback College 4-1 and Golden West College 4-1. The team had not yet competed in a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match.

Men's volleyball finished their season 0-6. Five of the losses came from ranked opponents: No. 9 Irvine Valley College (3-0), No. 10 Fullerton College (3-1), No. 2 Orange Coast (3-0), No. 7 Santiago Canyon College (3-0) and No. 5 San Diego Miramar College (3-0). The Comets got in one conference match, the Feb. 11 match against Miramar, before the season was canceled.
