Bio

A product of Orange Glen High School in Escondido, Cami Allen pitched Coach Mark Eldridge’s Comets to the program’s first-ever state softball championship in 1989. She was a first-team all-state selection both as a freshman in 1989 and again as a sophomore 1990, and was named a Community College All-American following the state-championship season in 1989. Allen won 60 games over her Palomar College career, exactly 30 in both her freshman and sophomore seasons. Additionally, she struck out 557 batters, 353 of those in her sophomore year. Overall, Allen compiled a near-flawless career earned run average of 0.46, recording no less than 43 career shutouts, 22 in 1989 and 21 in 1990. Allen transferred from Palomar to Cal State Northridge and went on to pitch successfully for the nationally ranked Matadors for two seasons.
