Pena and Lindeman sweep PCAC AOTW honors

The spring schedules have reached the halfway point and some of the better athletes in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) are starting to rise to the top.  Two athletes from Palomar College walked away with the PCAC Athlete-of-the-Week after sensational weeks of action.

Palomar's Elena Pena and Devlin Lindeman were both recognized as the athlete-of-the-week for this past week.  Pena swims for the Comets while Lindeman is a member of the baseball team.

Pena had a phenomenal performance at the Riverside City College Invitational this past weekend, winning two events and finishing second in two others.   Pena started with a dominating performance in the 200 Individual Medley when she won by 2.3 seconds with a time of 2:21.88.  She then won the 100 Freestyle on Saturday with a time of 56.71.  Pena also finished second in both the 50 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke, collecting 74 of her teams 189 points.

Lindeman had a week that most players can only dream of.  He finished 7-for-11 for the week at the plate with three home runs, 11 RBI and four runs-scored.  Lindeman's biggest performance was likely on Saturday during a 17-1 victory over Imperial Valley when he went 3-for-3 with seven RBI, belting two home runs.
