Domingo earns PCAC Athlete-of-the-Month honor; WIlson, honorable mention

Alyssa Domingo, a pitcher for the softball team, earned her first honor as a Comet for February, while Zadok Wilson, a guard on the men's basketball team received an honorable mention nod for his achievements.

Domingo, a freshman from Westview High School, appeared in every game except one for Palomar in February. She currently leads the Pacific Coast Conference in strikeouts and earned run average, 39 and 1.80, respectively, and has five wins on the season. She has a season-high of nine strikeouts so far, coming against Antelope Valley. The freshman pitcher also hits for the Comets and recorded her first career triple against Citrus College on Feb. 8 as she finished 2-3 with an RBI. She also was 1-3 against Fullerton College and 2-4 against Riverside City College.

Wilson, a freshman guard, had a phenomenal February for the Comets as he shot the best he had all season. He posted a career-high 32 points against San Diego City on Feb. 14 going 11-16 in the field. Wilson also recorded his fifth double-double of the season against San Diego Mesa College on Feb. 12, scoring 18 points and finishing with 10 rebounds. He was in double-digits for scoring in all but two games for Palomar in February. He had five assists and three steals against Citrus College in their CCCAA SoCal Regional Playoff game.
