Comets sweep San Bernardino Valley to even PCAC North record at 1-1

SAN MARCOS (10-05-2018) – Palomar evened its Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North women's volleyball record at 1-1 on Friday, sweeping winless San Bernardino Valley 3-0 in The Dome.

The set scores were 25-18, 25-22, 25-20 as Noemi Ramos, the Comets' sophomore outside hitter / middle blocker and season kills leader out of Orange Glen High School led the way again with 11 kills.

Freshman Jacey Smith (El Camino High) delivered seven kills and freshman Zandrea Brown (Oceanside High) added six kills.

Also for the Comets, sophomore setter Mikayla Seiler (Vista Murrieta High) had 26 assists, and freshman Tominie Connely (Valley Center High) contributed eight digs.

On Wednesday night, Palomar opened PCAC North play with a 25-18, 25-21, 25-14 loss at College of the Desert.

Ramos had eight kills, Brown five kills and Seiler delivered 19 assists.

Palomar, which has won three of its last five matches since opening the season with eight losses, will try to make it four victories in its last six matches and go to 2-1 in the PCAC North when Comets host San Diego Miramar (1-12, 0-1) at The Dome.
